    This zine will be physical. In addition, due to interest, we will be doing an NSFW digital add-on as well.    _ _

    Is this zine spoiler-free?
    No, this zine will include manga spoilers and allow antagonists that haven't been depicted in the anime.    _ _

    Can minors participate in this zine?
    Contributors must be 18+ years old by the time of application. No previous zine experience is required.    _ _
    What sort of contributors are we looking for?
    We're looking for writers, page artists, cover artists, & merch artists. The exact number will be revealed when our applications open!    _ _
    Can I apply as multiple types of contributors?
    You can apply for more than one kind of contributor role, but you will only be able to have one role (writer/page artist/cover artist/merch artist) if accepted.    _ _
    Can I apply for both the SFW and NSFW sections of the zine?
    You can apply for both! However, same as above, your role will remain the same for both SFW and NSFW sections. (ie. If you are a page artist for the SFW zine, then you'll be one for the NSFW add-on as well.)    _ _
    What content is allowed in this zine?
    Canon-typical violence and canon-typical gore are allowed. We will be doing a separate NSFW digital zine for sexual content. Specific rules on what content will be allowed/disallowed in the NSFW add-on will be announced when apps open.    _ _
    Are ships allowed?
    Yes.
    However, this is not a ship-focused zine, so ships will be relegated to the background. The depiction of sexual acts will be limited to the NSFW add-on.    _ _
    Are AUs allowed?
    AUs will be allowed as long as they are canon-adjacent. This includes canon compliant and canon divergent content, as well as those exploring the origin stories of the characters. This can be further discussed on a case-by-case basis.    _ _
    What kinds of characters are allowed in this zine?
    Any and all characters who have been antagonists are allowed. For example, we will accept Choso and Geto Suguru, though the content will focus on their villainous exploits. Antagonists from the more recent chapters are also very welcome!    _ _
    How will contributors be compensated?
    All contributors will be given a free e-copy of the book. If sales permit, they will also be provided with the physical bundle as well. The remaining profits will go towards charity.

    Welcome to Accursed Machinations: The JJK Villain Zine, a fan project dedicated to the antagonists of Akutami Gege’s Jujutsu Kaisen universe.This project will consist of artwork and written pieces, inspired by the different villains in the manga and anime. The aim of this zine is to be as inclusive as possible, which means there will be a SFW main physical zine that will not focus on romantic relationships, along with a digital NSFW side zine.As contributors may be accepted for both the SFW and NSFW zines, the number of contributors for the NSFW add-on will be based on interest.
    In addition to this, we also plan to invite a handful of guest contributors.

    We are looking for approximately:
    20 page artists
    6 merch artists
    8 writers

    General Application Guidelines

    • All pieces for the main zine must be SFW: rated General, PG or Mature. Canon typical violence is permitted. But sexual content will not be considered.

    • If you are applying for the NSFW section, please make sure that at least one of your samples is NSFW.

    • Please make sure to tag any sensitive content in your samples.

    • We will only be accepting contributors over 18 years of age.

    • You can apply for more than one role but will only be accepted for one. But you can create both SFW and NSFW pieces in your role, if assigned.

    • All links in your application must be viewable. If you’re using Google Drive, please make sure that link sharing is turned on. We will not consider applications that we need to request permission to view.

    • All samples submitted must be your original work. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and your application will be immediately disqualified.

    • There will be zero tolerance for any involvement in illegal/discriminatory groups or activities (i.e. racial hate groups, homophobic/transphobic groups, illegal businesses, etc.). Any person found to be participating in such activities will be disqualified.

    Artist Guidelines

    • Applicants are required to submit links to at least three of their best works and a portfolio containing at least five pieces.

    • The pieces in the portfolio will be considered in their respective order.

    • Please make sure the samples and portfolio reflect the style you will be using for the zine.

    • At least one sample should be a full, completed piece with a background.

    • Although it is not mandatory, Jujutsu Kaisen pieces are desired. It is also recommended to submit samples that feature an antagonist from the Jujutsu Kaisen universe.

    Writer Guidelines

    • The portfolio can be in the form of a Google Drive folder, Archive of Our Own account, Twitter post or thread, so long as viewing permissions are enabled.

    • The pieces in the portfolio will be considered in their respective order.

    • Please make sure the samples and portfolio reflect the style you will be using for the zine.

    • Although it is not mandatory, Jujutsu Kaisen pieces are desired. It is also recommended to submit samples that feature an antagonist from the Jujutsu Kaisen universe.
